This weekend we went to Nana and Papa's and had Christmas at their house! Kaia had so much fun opening gifts and seeing her family! She's very excited for Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!!

November Fun!

We had a great November and kept very busy! School is going well for Josh and we really love the community that we live in as well as our house. It's been a great experience so far and we're glad we decided to make the move! Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to.

Last week we took Kaia to Jumpin' Janes...an indoor playground filled with inflatables. She wasn't too sure at first, but finally warmed up and then we couldn't get her to stop jumping!

Halloween and other Fun!

My internet hasn't been allowing me to sign on and update the blog. I finally got it to work, so here are a bunch of new pictures! We're doing great and have had a wonderful fall. We're looking forward to Thanksgiving with Nana and Papa and the exciting Christmas season ahead! Looking back, here are a few photos from the last month, starting with Halloween. Kaia wanted to be a monkey and she had so much fun trick-or treating! It's so wonderful to know all our neighbors and for Kaia to get to trick-or-treat with her friends!

Memorable Maisy Moments

I had to come write this down so that I don't forget!

Last night was trick-or-treat and Kaia got lots of candy. We came home from the playground this evening and Kaia and I had decided to make pizza-she was very excited! While it was cooking she came to me and said..

M: "I want candy please!"
Me: "You may have candy after you eat supper."
M: "Please can I have candy?"
Me: "Thank you for saying please...you may have some after supper."
M: "I no like supper! I don't want any pizza! I want candy! Please! Please!"

This was repeated multiple times and included lots of crying and screaming. It became a full-on temper tantrum. I finally distracted her and she was excited for pizza when it was finally done. She did a good job of eating and when she was done she said...

M: "Please may I have a piece of candy?"
Me: "You did a good job eating supper and now you can have a piece of candy."
M: "Hooray! I'm so happy!"

She picked out a bag of Whoppers and I said...

Me: "I'm not sure you'll like these. Maybe you should pick something else."
M: "I DO like these. I eat them all the time!"

This cracked me up because to my knowledge she hasn't eaten these before. Turns out she did like them and is now asking me for "more please." Time to hide the candy bucket!!

Lots of Updates!

I know I haven't updated the blog for a long time. We've been super busy at our house and I just haven't had time! We're adjusting well and loving our new house. We're making lots of new friends and Kaia loves having some other kids to play with. We've really been enjoying all the gorgeous warm weather and have been taking advantage of it by playing outside and checking out some new parks. We've traveled a lot the past few weekends and have enjoyed some great family time!
