Snow Day!

I'm catching up on my blogging. We've been so busy the last couple weeks that I haven't gotten a chance to upload some pictures. A couple weeks ago we got hit by a huge winter storm and got 14 inches of snow. This was on top of the 2 1/2 feet we already had. Josh had a snow day from school, so we headed outside to play. We shoveled out a little area in our back yard and had a great time!

Last Tuesday was Josh's birthday! Kaia had lots of fun making him birthday signs to welcome him when he came home! We had a fun night with friends and enjoyed celebrating his "special day!"

Grandma Swaim

Here is one of my favorite pictures of Grandma Swaim - with Kaia just after she was born. We were all celebrating Grandma Swaim's birthday, which is in August too! She passed away last Wednesday at the age of 87. She was a wonderful woman who loved her family, friends, and the Hawkeyes! She will be missed very much. We are thankful for the time we were able to spend with her and are thankful Kaia got a chance to know her too.
