Fun with Finnean!

During our visit we got to see our friends, the Waglers!! We had a great time catching up with them and Kaia had lots of fun playing with Finnean and "Jerry dog". She LOVED Jerry! She gave him lots of pets and even helped hold his leash! She had fun playing with toys with Finnean and having dinner too!

Visit to the Capitol!

During our visit to Des Moines visited Grandpa Kurt at the Capitol! It was great to go back and visit and to see some familiar faces. Kaia loved looking at the dome and the battleship, but her favorite part was seeing Grandpa's desk and sitting in the Speaker's chair! She called it "Grandpa's Office!" What an awesome "office" it is!!

Little Fish!

Last week we headed back to Des Moines for a couple days. Josh had some meetings, so we stayed in a hotel and Kaia got to go swimming! She was so happy! As soon as we got to the hotel she asked every 10 seconds "Can we go now?" We went a couple times each day and she definitely would have gone more if she had the choice!

Visit to Nana and Papa's

A couple weeks ago Kaia and I spent a couple days visiting Nana and Papa! We had fun seeing family and some friends too!

Uncle Greg came over after work one day (he's a detective with the police department) and Kaia got to play with his badge! She had fun being "Detective Kaia" and solving "mysteries" (finding things that were hidden)!

We went shopping with Nana and Kaia got a new outfit!! She was so excited and she had to put it on right away when we got home. Here she is playing her favorite game...hide and seek!

Best Friends!!

Cousins make the best friends!! Kaia loves her cousins and when she talks about them she always calls them "my friends!" Addy and Ella are her "best friends" and when we went shopping the other day she found an outfit she wanted to buy for Jude and one for "baby Clare!" In January we were in Bloomfield for a visit and Kaia went to her 1st movie! Yogi Bear was playing at the theater on the square, so Kaia went with her friends!! She had a great time!! In February we were back in town for Grandma Swaim's funeral, and Kaia had lots of fun having a "slumber party" with the girls! She lasted in bed with them for about 45 minutes and still ended up sleeping with us, but you'd never know it from the way she talks about it!

We took Daddy to visit the River Museum! Kaia loves seeing all the animals and had tons of fun showing Daddy around!
