Thankful
We had a great weekend...one in which we were able to see all of our family! I'll post more on that later. This is one of my favorite pictures of the weekend, and really ever, considering the blessing it is to have both my Grandma and Kaia together in the same picture. For those of you who don't know, it'll be two years ago in March that Grandma Hazel got really sick. It was the night before we had our 1st ultrasound. She collapsed at home and had to have emergency surgery. She was on life support and we weren't sure that she would even make it through the next few hours, let alone days, weeks, or months. She was not very responsive, but the one thing she did respond to was anyone talking about our baby. First through the fluttering of her eyelids and then by opening her eyes, and gradually she continued to get better. It was a long road, but the Lord used the miracle of our baby to help keep Grandma going and to work a miracle in her life (and all of our lives) by healing her body and her mind. We are so thankful to have her in our lives and are especially thankful that Kaia is able to know and love her "Nana"!

What a lovely picture! And what a blessing that little girl is.
I was born into a similar situation as Kaia was. My grandma came out of a coma when my mom was pregnant with me. It's always been very special to me to have always heard how grandma "lived for" me. Always tell that girl how loved she was!
